With passion in your kitchen, chocolate pralines

Passion Piece - Chocolate Pralines

In my last article, I shared some tips with you how to deal with increased levels of stress after coming back to work from your long summer holidays break. Today, I’d like to present you a surefire recipe to make your moments of hard work a little bit more pleasant. In my case it must be coffee, which admittedly doesn’t really mobilize me to work, but it gives me lots of amazing and unforgettable flavor sensations … and what’s more, I could definitely kill for the scent of coffee filling the air and keeping my brain active … and believe me … once you hit your 30’s your brain has already reached a solid mileage. A good cup of coffee is coffee accompanied by some sweet treats, which in opposition to the earlier mentioned drink of the gods, don’t really make my brain active, but they definitely improve my mood … and make it possible to forget, at least for a moment, about all these heaps of tests waiting for me to correct them. These idle moments of relaxation allow me to enjoy the richness of flavors hidden in the sweets I’ve just devoured.

Today I’d like to present you a recipe for fast and easy to prepare chocolate pralines, which I prepared according to the recipe of Nun Mary, one of my favorite authors of cookbooks.

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet of biscuits (around 250 g)
  • ½ glass of icing sugar
  • ½  bar of butter
  • 2 table spoons of cocoa or powdered chocolate
  • 1 rum extract or 2 teaspoons of rum
  • cocoa to coat pralines

Preparation time:

  • 30 min

Preparation:

Crush biscuits into small pieces, for this purpose you can also use grater. Cream soft butter with icing sugar until you get a homogeneous and creamy mixture.

Next, add some cocoa and crushed biscuits. Continue creaming it, at the end add some drops of rum extract or rum itself. Do it carefully, so that your mixture doesn’t turn sour.

Put such a prepared mixture into your fridge to set. Next, after chilling your mixture, shape it into balls of the size of a walnut. Coat the earlier prepared balls in cocoa and place them on the pate. At the end put them again in the fridge to chill well.

Chocolate pralines taste best when you serve them just after taking them out of the fridge.

I hope that this delicious and really easy to prepare sweet treat will make your moments of hard work a little bit more pleasant. I wish you a fruitful end of the week and an amazing weekend in the circle of your closest family and friends.

See you around!

Yours,

Passion Piece

I like that these chocolate pralines have rum in their composition. I have always been a fan of rum chocolate! Coffee is important for me too and I can't start my day without having a cup of it. :)

Rum gives them a little bit stronger and more interesting flavour. Couldn't agree more about the coffee! :)

Yes, not everyone can tolerate milk, so it's a great alternative. I also can't live without a cup of good coffee and some sweets! :)
