I’m sure each of us happens to experience such moments in life when it’s difficult to keep up with others and to complete all the tasks. Since people put such a burden on our shoulders even more often and even more eagerly than in the past. The pace of our lives is getting faster and faster, minute by minute, not to say second by second, and the day doesn’t really seem to become any longer. Unfortunately, our body and mind, as all other kinds of materials, undergo the process of ‘deterioration’ and lack of the right possibility of regeneration, as well as of getting away from it all once in a while makes us operate on lower speed and even things which generally used to bring us joy, suddenly start being a huge challenge and are not fun anymore.
This creative impotence has also caught me in its vicious claws, my weekly writing has become an enormous burden, and all these problems have been caused by tiredness and not too many possibilities of resting even for a short while. I start running away from what I like, because my mind insists on totally not doing anything and it doesn’t take no for an answer!
This state will surely last for some time. What can one do to boost one’s concentration and to increase one’s level of energy? Despite the fact that the next holidays are even not yet on the horizon?
1. Learn how to let things go.
You don’t really have to do everything to do your work well. Focus on things that matter and don’t let others make you think that you are the expert at everything and you should do everything or even more than that. Since if you are the expert at everything, you are the expert at nothing.
2. Do something for yourself daily.
Even if you think that you have a gun to your head and you must do this or that and the day is already coming to its end… you really need to reorganize your priorities and put yourself first. Does it sound selfish? Not at all! If you get completely exhausted, there will be nothing left… That’s why, try to find at least a short moment for some relaxation, passion or even a pure sleep.
3. Spend your time with the close ones.
You really need to always find time for your relatives and friends, because these are the people who co-create the quality of your life. A job is just a job, you can always change it and you’ll never regain the time you’ve already lost keeping your dear ones in mind. Surely after a nice meeting, chitchatting, and getting that rock out of your stomach, you’ll regain new energy and joy of life and that will help you to take actions again.
4. Eat well and live well!
It’s a proven fact that a healthy diet has an enormous impact on how you feel and how you function in this world. Check everything you place on your plate carefully, as it will make it easier for you to resign from the products which won’t do any good to you. It’s always great to try new things. Maybe changing your eating habits will help you too?
5. If nothing above turns out to be helpful, you’ve got nothing else to do, but to equip yourself with patience.
Sometimes you have to resign even from things you really like. If you suffer from creative impotence, don’t exert yourself. Since your efforts won’t bring anything even half as good as you’d like and even half as good as it would be in more favorable conditions. Wait for slightly better times and start creating again!
See you around!
Yours,
