With passion in your kitchen: banana and oat cocktail

Passion Piece - Banana - Oat Cocktail cover

Are you looking for an interesting beverage for warm summer days? Today, I’d like to present you a kind of cocktail which has become a real hit in my family. Why? No need to be a wonderful cook to prepare it, besides this it takes not more than a few minutes to be ready. This recipe for a banana and oat cocktail comes from a cookbook titled ‘Zielone koktajle’ (‘Green cocktails’) written by Sister Mary.

Ingredients:

(1 portion)

  • 1 small banana
  • 1 tablespoon of oat flakes
  • ¾ cup of milk
  • 3 tablespoons of natural yogurt
  • a pinch of cinnamon
  • honey (optional)

Preparation:

Peel and slice the banana. Pour the oat flakes with milk and wait until they get slightly soaked. Add banana, yogurt, a pinch of cinnamon. Mix all the ingredients. If you like sweeter drinks, you can add a little bit of honey to taste. Pour the ready prepared cocktail into a tall glass and leave it in the fridge for a while, so that it gets a little bit chilled. You can decorate your drink with oat flakes or bananas. Bon Appetit!

See you around!

Yours,

Passion Piece

You’ll find this and many other recipes in the book titled: ‘Zielone koktajle Siostry Marii’.

What are oat flakes? Are they the same as rolled oats?

Actually oat is not my thing. My older neice loves it and I'll share it with her.
