The autumn vibes are slowly getting all around us, which often leads to all kinds of infections and health problems. It’s also a wonderful season of the year during which the nature is slowly getting ready for winter hibernation just to break into bloom again in spring. Spending long hours at work and then working at home makes it difficult for me to find enough time to admire all these little details of the surrounding me world. That’s why, going back home and getting stuck in the traffic jam last Friday, I experienced real enlightenment, I felt as if I had discovered something really huge, and the thing which totally caught my attention was the ivy covering the acoustic wall lining along the road. The dirty windowpane became my only window to the world, the window thanks to which I know that I’m surrounded by amazing little things which create my everyday reality.
As I’ve already mentioned, autumn is a time during which we are really prone to various illnesses and infections which can ruin our plans for good, as it had place in my case last weekend. Exhaustion, working with lots of people and being stressed are certainly the aspects, which make it easy to defeat our body. That’s why, we should remember about healthy eating, which should be a regular part of our everyday diet. Today, my choice has fallen upon Polish fish in the Greek style, which is one of my favorite dishes – not only nutritious, but it also provides our organism with vitamins, minerals and necessary micro nutrients. What’s more, the fish together with vegetables fits into the coloring of autumn slowly entering our lives.

Ingredients:
- 1 kg of whitefish fillet (e.g. cod, pollock, hake)
- 5 carrots
- 3 parsley roots
- a small celery root
- 2 onions
- tomato paste
- oil
- lemon juice
- sugar
- salt
- pepper
Fish preparation:
- flour
- breadcrumbs
- one egg
- salt
- pepper
- oil for frying
Preparation:
Dice the onions. Peel the carrots, parsley and celery, next grate such prepared vegetables on the grater with large holes. Heat up the oil on the frying pan, next add your onion, fry it for a few minutes. Add the rest of vegetables and fry them for the next few minutes, season them with salt, pepper and lemon juice, pour your veggies with water and boil them for around 10 minutes. After this time remove some of the water and mix it with tomato paste, stew everything on low heat for around 15 minutes. Sprinkle the fish fillets with salt and pepper, bread the fish and fry until it becomes golden brown. Put the fish into the bowl and cover it with vegetables or place everything on the plate. Such a prepared dish tastes best when warm and with fresh bread. Bon Appetit!

See you around!

I love Polish fish. I recently visited Krakow and found the food amazing, but whatever way the fish was cooked was just so different to what I'd had before. Polish fish in a greek style though? That's completely new!
You have my attention for ANYTHING FISH related !!! :D
This looks good. I bet my family would love it. They are all about seafood. I wish I liked it but once in a while I'll make fish for them.

The final result looks really good. I've never seen parsley root or celery root at my local grocery store.
Very interesting! I'm not usually much of a fish lover but this sounds yummy. I may need to try it out!

Oh my, what a great recipe! It looks SO good, and it's actually really healthy too! My sister in law prefers fish to red meat so I think she's also gonna love this. :) ~ Ola @ WanderWithOla
