What failures have taught me: 5 easy steps to my own personal success

Passion Piece - failures cover 1

Living our lives at an incredible pace, makes us subject to constant assessments, based on our failures and successes that we can prove to the world. As long as the latter ones make us happy, the former may have a traumatic influence on the way we perceive ourselves and our own skills compared to what we can observe around us.

It sometimes happens that we pay too much attention to little mistakes we make, totally diminishing what we have managed to gain and the areas which we could specialize in, not only in our professional, but also in our private life.

A few years ago, I would look at some things from a hundred of various perspectives, especially at the things that couldn’t have been perceived as the ones I did best in my life. The perspectives which seem to be as ridiculous as the ice on the Sahara desert right now… oh OK, it may happen, but it’s not the case. The issues, I used to see as my life disasters, frequently went unnoticed by others. Nay! These others saw me as a much better person than I perceived myself at that time.

Getting older, I know it may sound a bit grotesque, we gain more experience, which can bring either positive or negative outcomes in the future. Everything depends on what conclusions we draw from our bigger and smaller failures.

5 incredible lessons, which have totally changed my life… How to turn your failures into a personal success?

1.Success is not always there, where we look for it at the very beginning.

The things that we feel would make us better, happier, more beautiful, richer or finally more loved individuals, are not basically what we really are looking for. Sometimes a seemingly ideal picture of success blinds us to the things that are truly important, the ones which we can find just around us. Any deviation from the imaginary world we would like to be a part of, makes little cracks not only in our personality or our heart, but also in our soul, which under the burden of so many bumps may collapse and never come back to its previous shape from the time before this totally unnecessary breakdown occurred. It’s not always possible for us to move the mountains. Everyone lives in one’s own reality and everyone is the main character in one’s own movie. It’s good to focus on what is important and on what is frequently at our fingertips, as it may turn out that our definition of happiness and success may completely change under the influence of new circumstances and people who we meet in our lives.

2.Changing priorities in life.

Besides investing our energy in a wrong place while chasing our seemingly ideal success, it often happens that the priorities that seemed to be important for us, shouldn’t have been placed that high. It’s quite funny that just when we manage to sort things out and to clear all this mess and all these piles of rubbish which we have cumulated in our heads over all these years, we will find out that the most important are our close ones and the people who we can count on in all sort of situations in our life. Once you’ve got a good job, the next day you don’t. One day you’ve got a beautiful house, the next day you don’t. So many things are of a temporary nature and we place them too high in the ranking of our priorities. Sometimes you need to turn this ladder upside down and focus on personal happiness, and everything else will come or not.

3.Changing your attitude.

Our attitude towards certain matters frequently leaves a lot to be desired and we are the only ones who seem to be totally unaware of this fact. You should always be 100% and more if you love or like doing something, as thanks to such an attitude you can certainly gain more and enjoy more in your everyday life, which is not always a pleasant reality. Let things go. If you don’t care about something, most possibly your current feelings won’t really change in the future. Invest your energy well. I promise, it will guarantee a successful harvest.

4.Look for inspirations in others.

It often happens that we admire people around us or the ones we know only from the silver screen, as they do something extremely well and are full of passion for what they do. It brings positive outcomes in their everyday lives. Try not to be jealous, try not to criticize, try to look for what you have in common and try to look for what you can change in yourself to get a bit closer to your ideals.

5.Finding the real purpose of life.

Becoming aware of how I would like to feel in the morning just after waking up, and how I would like to fall asleep in the evening was a game-changing experience for me. Our goals may change over the years, but the most important is to select them well out of a whole mass of other rubbish. You need to do it not to miss the things which may become a sort of happiness in its full form. Happiness which means something different and has a totally different dimension for all of us.

Keep learning, as the moment when you come to a conclusion that you know everything or that you have failed in everything that was possible to fail, your fate will give you a slap in the face again, or just on the contrary, you’ll finally get lucky… at that moment the only thing you may regret will be the energy you have wasted for years, the energy which could have been invested in a different, smarter way.

See you around!

Yours,

Passion Piece
