With passion in your kitchen, an easy pudding pie

Passion Piece - pudding pie 1

As all coffee lovers I adore the moments when I can enjoy my afternoon cup of this highly aromatic beverage. However, in my opinion, coffee tastes way better when accompanied by a proper dessert. I’m not a huge fan of complicated cakes, just on the contrary, I love simple and clear flavors. One pie, which I truly like is called skubaniec – this time not with fruit, but with pudding.

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • 1 bar of margarine (250 g)
  • 3 spoons of lard
  • 5 yolks
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 3 cups of cake flour

Filling:

  • 1 liter of milk
  • 3 packets of pudding (vanilla or cream)
  • 3-4 spoons of granulated sugar
  • peaches in syrup

Decoration:

  • icing sugar

Preparation:

Mix margarine, lard, yolks, sugar, baking powder and flour. Knead until you get homogeneous pastry. Next, divide it into two pieces. Spread the first one on the baking tin and cover with the pudding layer and peaches. Finally, tear the second piece of your pastry and put it on the pudding with fruit.

Bake your pie in 180° for about 45-50 min. After cooling down, you can sprinkle skubaniec with icing sugar.

I hope you’ll find this pie tasty. Bon Appetit!

See you around!

Yours,

Passion Piece

My daughters birthday is Monday and she is not a fan of typical cake with frosting. Every year I look for something unique and different that she will love. I think I just found it! I had never heard of skubaniec but I can't wait to give it a try.
