With passion in your kitchen: tomato smoothie

Passion Piece - Tomato Smoothie Cover

Spring has arrived in Poland for good, everything around us is getting green, and birds are starting to brighten our mornings with their cheerful warble. Pleasant temperatures make us more physically active, in my case that means long walks and facing my own weaknesses while running. Spring is also a good season to look more carefully at what we place on our plates and what we drink on a daily basis. I just adore healthy beverages, and on the other hand, I avoid the ones which are unhealthy and the ones which contain too many calories, just to treat myself to some other pleasures during the day, such as sweets for example … however, one can’t live drinking just water … that’s why, today I’d like to present you delicious and healthy tomato smoothie according to the recipe by Nun Mary, which will satisfy the palates even of those of you who are really not fond of this kind of drinks.

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe, fleshy tomatoes
  • a piece of chili pepper or a little of Tabasco sauce
  • 1/3 glass of still mineral water
  • 2 sprigs of parsley
  • salt, pepper to taste
  • some crushed ice

Portions:

  • 1 person

Time of prepearation:

  • around 10 min

Preparation:

Remove the stalks out of your tomatoes and blanch them lightly in hot water. Peel the tomatoes, cut their flesh into small pieces. Take the seeds out of chili pepper and chop it carefully. Rinse parsley with some water, next make it dry with a paper towel. After draining your parsley, chop it well. Mix tomatoes with chili pepper or Tabasco sauce and mineral water. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste, add some crushed ice and mix everything together for a moment. Ready made smoothie should be served in a tall glass, you can sprinkle it with some chopped parsley. The beverage should be drunk at once. Bon Appetit!

See you around!

Yours,

Passion Piece
