Magic of Christmas at your fingertips!

Passion Piece Christmas Markets

How can you put yourself into a Christmas mood? It’s worth visiting wonderful Christmas markets! This year, due to loads of work and a small revolution at home, I haven’t managed to travel further than to the center of my own hometown. Today, I’d like to go back in time to one of the most beautiful Christmas markets which I visited a few years ago. Vienna is the city, which in winter and especially in December, becomes an amazingly charming place. Why is it a good idea to visit Vienna right now?

Christmas markets in Vienna are known for their rich and long-lasting tradition. Every year, the most important squares of this city transform into picture-postcard sceneries taken out directly from colourful magazines. The organizers pay great attention to details. That’s why, your eyes will be delighted with incredibly eye-catching installations, which present themselves outstandingly during the day as well as at night, since they are highlighted with countless colourful lights. Every Viennese square offers lots of excitement and unforgettable moments. Festively decorated stalls propose a great variety of goods to Christmas bargain hunters. On the market stalls one can find beautifully decorated Christmas balls and other festive ornaments. It’s also a good idea to have a look at handicraft goods, which can become unique Christmas gifts, as well as they can successfully decorate your homes. The figures of angels, stables and saints remind us of the forthcoming Christmas time. Besides traditional products you can find there more modern decorations and souvenirs which will suit the tastes of more demanding Christmas bargain seekers!

What would the Christmas markets be without treats? While strolling through countless stalls, everyone will find something for himself/herself! Delicious and beautifully wrapped sweets will delight both your eyes and palate. You should also try roast chestnuts as well as a wide range of hot beverages such as wines, beers, or hot chocolates. Every drink is served in a charming mug, which makes a great souvenir too, for all of you who love warming yourself a little bit during the long winter evenings.

Taking rides in festively decorated carriages and city trams can introduce you into a cheerful atmosphere. Carolling in the streets choirs and humming in the background well-known Christmas songs bring good mood to all the tourists. It’s good to remember about taking thick coats and gloves with you, as they will certainly do well during long walks through the streets of Vienna.

What other attractions are we offered by this fabulous city? There are lots of choices for everyone, from ice rinks for skating-goers to reindeer sleigh rides for those of you who prefer more comfort. You can also stroll through beautifully decorated Viennese streets. Shop windows will amaze you with their luxury and splendor. Light installations stretching over your heads will take you into a completely different world. There are also some interesting attractions for the youngest such as carousels and fairy-tale decorated parks.

Travel with passion and visit Vienna, one of the most beautiful winter cities in Europe!

See you around!

Yours,

Passion Piece
