Charity action for mums-to-be, behind the scenes of 'Belly Santa Claus'

Passion Piece - Belly Santa Claus

December is a time during which we prepare ourselves for Christmas … it’s also a time of greater and smaller miracles. We have a chance not only to contribute to them, but we can also initiate such wonderful moments around us. A few days ago I was messaged by such a person, who decided to make a difference in the surrounding her reality, a reality which is not the same colorful for everyone during this magical time of Christmas anticipation – a month of awaiting for the most joyful holiday in the year. I came to a conclusion that it’s a kind of action which is really worth being supported … and who knows, maybe one day this cause will grow to the rank of Szlachetna Paczka*? Big things start with little steps and it depends only on us how we direct our destiny, and sometimes we can also influence someone else’s future.

Martyna Pawłowska-Dymek is not only the author of a blog – Lucky Seven – but also the founder of a charity action for mums-to-be. What is this good cause about and what were its beginnings?

‘A Belly Santa Claus’ is nothing else but the usual Santa Claus, who visits mums-to-be and their unborn or newly born babies. The idea occurred to be a kindness of one person’s heart, a person who thanks to her previous life situation related to her overdue pregnancy – realized that the right support of people around her was really crucial – especially during such an important pre-Christmas time.

The beginnings of this actions weren’t easy. Of course, preparing the present itself is a very pleasant process. Who doesn’t love to give gifts to other people, especially the ones who really need your support. For Martyna – the most important aspect of the whole event was choosing the right person whom she would like to deliver her gift to. How to choose people who are more in need from those who are less in need, especially when the possibilities of help are restricted? How not to offend the person who we want to give our gift to? How not to allow ourselves to be misled by frauds? Martyna dealt with these and other dilemmas very well … and thanks to her great faith in the validity of this action, she not only prepared a gift, but also found a mum,who really needed her help.

How can you join this action? These are the steps you can find in the description of the event itself:

Start of the action: 1st of December

End of the action: 6th of December

1.Find a young mum in need
2. Collect and pack your gifts with the things which will be really useful for her: diapers, clothes, small gadgets, souvenirs …
3. Deliver your gift to her!
4. Share the information about this event with others. Spread the good around the world!

Remember that all good things you do in your life always come back to you and the ones you love … that’s why, don’t hesitate and create something amazing for people who really need you! Each smile or good word can also change your life, so the possible benefits could be mutual. I hope you’ll be willing to take part in this good cause and that you’ll invite your family and friends to create beautiful and full of love Christmas gifts.

See you around!

Yours,

Passion Piece

Not just during this season but it should be every day that we give to others in need. This Charity is definitely a blessing to mums to be

I think that the society needs to learn how to be more sympathetic and generous, but it's a long way to go! :)

This looks like a great idea for mums to be! Christmas can be a tough time when you are pregnant

    • Natalia January 9, 2019 Reply

Right! It's a time when we don't really want to save money, not thinking of people who don't have money for some basic products. :)

I love this idea, it would have been nice if this were more commonly known. When I was pregnant with my daughter, 3 years ago, this Charity could have been so useful to us. We were in such a tight spot that we couldn't even afford diapers. But, we somehow managed to make it through. I'm so glad there are charities out there now, helping Moms-to-be, now.

    • Natalia January 9, 2019 Reply

Hope that you'll get more help with your next child if possible ... or maybe you will help other mums with their problems. :)

  14. Anna Nwa December 3, 2018 Reply

What a great idea! I love this because diapers and baby supplies are so expensive and it can be so overwhelming. What a fun way to make Christmas a celebration for moms :)

    • Natalia January 9, 2019 Reply

I think that baby business is very profitable, that's why they make everything so expensive. Any help will be appreciated by young mums. :)

  15. Sandra December 3, 2018 Reply

This is such a heart warming idea! This simple way can actually havea great impact to those who are in need of merriment and joy in their lives. I'm glad that you are passionate about this. Cheers to your good works! xoxo anythingrad.com

I love giving to those in need, especially at this time of year. I absolutely love this idea and it should be something that gets bigger with each year. New moms definitely need all the help they can get. With our simple actions of giving, we can impact a lot of people this way.

    • Natalia January 9, 2019 Reply

I also hope that this action will grow in the future! :)

  17. Becca Wilson December 4, 2018 Reply

This is a nice effort. I also joined a charity silent auction two weeks ago for the benefit of scholars in a local school. :) Got good finds and got to help, too.
