One of my inglorious habits, which I’m not really ashamed to admit, is my love for all sweet things. From all types of treats containing chocolate to cakes and cookies, which invariably please my fussy palate. Everyone who would like to win my heart, wouldn’t have a difficult task to do, since in my case, the saying that the way to the heart is really through the stomach has a particular implementation. Today, I’d like to propose you the ‘Cat’s Eyes’, cookies with jam – according to Sister Anastazja’s recipe – which are not only easy to prepare, but also very yummy … as you’ll hopefully find out yourself soon.
Ingredients:
- 25 dag of wheat flour
- 15 dag of butter
- 8 dag of icing sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- jam
Time of preparation:
- around 60 min
Preparation:
Chop flour and butter with a knife. Whip egg yolks with sugar, next pour them into the flour with butter. Add baking powder and knead the dough well. Leave it for a moment in a cool place, after a period of time roll the dough and cut out small circles. In half of your circles make 1 or 3 holes. Bake your cookies for around 20 min at 180°C. After baking them put the circles together spreading jam between them. At the end sprinkle ready made cat’s eyes with some icing sugar.
I hope that these sweet treats will win your hearts, too! Bon Appetit!
See you around!
Yours,
Passion Piece

My mother used to make these cookies when I was little. I used to love the jam filling in the middle and the moisture and fluffiness of the cookie. They are so good!
I love them exactly because of the same reasons! :)

I think that from time to time it's not harmful to eat some cookies. :)

Firstly, am a sucker for nice pics and I love your photos here. Secondly - don't laugh! - I have such a phobia about making cookies (even though I'm a totally proficient cake-maker!). I am willing myself to give it another go after seeing this :)
I'm a master when it comes to all kinds of phobia, so don't worry too much! :)
This is perfect for valentine's day. What a great idea! They look for beautiful that it's difficult to eat them lol.
A good thing is that when you eat them all ... you can always make some more! :)
